Jake was a late talker. I don’t think he started saying more than a few words (momma, dada, and maybe a few animal sounds) until he was about 25 months old.
We were worried.
We had his hearing checked.
We asked questions.
We were planning EI.
Then one day, he talked. It just happened.
Word after word after word – so many new words each day, and soon there were sentences and now just three months after learning how to talk he won’t shut up.
He talks constantly.
Words just pour out of his mouth. So many that sometimes his brain and his mouth get out of sync (but that is a post for another day).
Here is one of our precious snack-time conversations.
